About Me
Counsellor and Psychotherapist
Counsellor & Psychotherapist
I am a fully qualified Counsellor and Psychotherapist. I trained at York St John University and have several years of experience working in a variety of settings. As a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), I work according to their ethical framework with clients who are 16 years and over.
I have been working with clients for many years and have a wide range of experience, offering short and long-term work. I have taken my work into private practice on the outskirts of Leeds (South Milford).
I had a positive personal experience of therapy many years ago, which led me onto this path of wanting to give to others similarly. I am humbled by the people I meet and feel honoured to be alongside them at some of the most challenging moments of their lives.
I take regular supervision in line with the BACP requirements. I also take pride in continuing my professional development to ensure I am keeping up to date with the best ways I can to support my clients.
The right counselling for you
Each of my clients experience their own unique struggles and I work alongside them with a wide range of difficulties they may bring. It could be loss or trauma that has affected their ability to cope, a difficult childhood, including childhood trauma and lack of emotional support. Clients may find themselves struggling with depression, panic and anxiety, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, eating disorders and body image issues. I work with clients by integrating different theories to support our work together, I may suggest working creatively, as with all counselling you do not have to do anything that doesn’t feel right for you. Each session is tailored uniquely to you focusing on your individual needs. I believe that with the right support, everyone can gain the capacity for growth and change.

I assure you I will do my utmost to enable you to feel comfortable by creating a warm, safe and accepting atmosphere to establish a connection for therapeutic work to begin.
